about
I am an independant curator, researcher and writer working at the intersection of contemporary art and architecture. I firmly believe in the ability of art to create new connections and shared experiences, foster dialogue, and shed a new light on how we perceive and use our daily environment.
Since 2010, I have collaborated with various cultural organisations and institutions, including A+ Architecture in Belgium, Archipel, BOZAR, BILDNIS_Forum voor Kunst, Cultuurcentrum Brugge, Flemish Architecture Institute, KU Leuven, LUCA School of Arts, Musea Brugge and The Creative Industries Fund NL.
Until 2024, I was the co-curator and project manager of “Bruges Triennial 2024: Spaces of Possibility”, an exhibition featuring temporary art and architecture installations in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bruges. The exhibition explored urban transformation in cities defined by their heritage, using the city's layout as a testbed for new spatial imaginaries. Earlier on, I was involved in the organisation as head of public programs, where I organised activities for both professionals and broader audiences.
Over the years, I have worked on publications focusing on contemporary art and architecture in the historical city. I have also actively participated in presentations in this area, and continue to do so. I regularly act as a jury member, guest speaker or advisor on commissioned art and/or architecture projects, and I enjoy collaborating with other partners and organisations. In 2021, I co-founded studio • est, a curatorial platform that connects art, architecture and audiences through events and publications.
I hold a Master's degree in Journalism (thesis: The Image of Architecture in Belgian and Dutch Architecture Magazines) and a Master's in Interior Architecture, both from KU Leuven. I continue to explore the representation of architecture and its relation to the contemporary city through trajectories that go beyond the built environment, organising exhibitions and events that encourage us to see and think differently.
