about
I am an independent curator, researcher, and writer working at the intersection of contemporary art and architecture. I believe strongly in art’s ability to forge new connections and shared experiences, foster dialogue, and offer fresh perspectives on how we perceive and engage with our everyday environment.
Since 2010, I have collaborated with a range of cultural organisations and institutions, including A+ Architecture in Belgium, Archipel, BOZAR, BILDNIS – Forum for Art, Cultuurcentrum Brugge, Flemish Architecture Institute, KU Leuven, LUCA School of Arts, Musea Brugge, and the Creative Industries Fund NL.
Until 2024, I served as co-curator and project manager of Bruges Triennial 2024: Spaces of Possibility, an exhibition featuring temporary art and architectural installations throughout the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bruges. The exhibition addressed processes of urban transformation in heritage cities, using Bruges as a testing ground for new spatial imaginaries. Prior to this role, I was involved in the organisation as Head of Public Programmes, where I developed and coordinated activities for both professional and wider audiences.
Over the years, I have contributed to a range of publications focusing on contemporary art and architecture in historical urban contexts. I have also been actively engaged in lectures and presentations in this field, and continue to do so. I regularly serve as a jury member, guest speaker, and advisor on commissioned art and architectural projects, and I value collaborative work with a variety of partners and organisations. In 2021, I co-founded studio • est, a curatorial platform that connects art, architecture, and audiences through events and publications.
I hold a Master’s degree in Journalism (thesis: The Image of Architecture in Belgian and Dutch Architecture Magazines) and a Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, both from KU Leuven. My work continues to explore the representation of architecture and its relationship to the contemporary city, extending beyond the built environment through exhibitions and programmes that encourage new ways of seeing, thinking, and engaging.
